In weaving, the ‘warp’ threads run down the fabric and the ‘weft’ across. The name reflects our bond with the communities who supply us. We are interconnected. All Warp & Weft textiles are hand-made from natural fibres and organic dyes. We identify with the Japanese concept “wabi-sabi” – finding beauty in the imperfection of nature. Handmade products will always express a unique character. The projects we support optimise traditional methods that result in products of exceptional quality. Using our knowledge of the Western consumer, we help guide the projects to maximise the appeal of the products whilst respecting traditions and aiding cultural preservation. We spend time with each community sharing meals, exchanging ideas and gaining insight. We are fully informed.
