Warp & Weft is a small ethical business which sells hand-made organically tinted products from Peru. Since its inception, we have purchased many thousands of pieces directly from indigenous artists. Recently the value of maintaining the organic dyeing techniques has really been recognised and we have witnessed a fantastic recovery of an almost lost art-form. The design and finishing on our products belong to the creators, many of whom live in isolated regions in the Andes above 4000m. On these pages, you will see how their ancient skills translate beautifully into our modern world. The subsistence farmers we support use the extra income to achieve a better quality of life. Communities have struggled through difficult times as desperate members left for the cities or the jungle to escape rural poverty, often abandoning their children. With the success of these projects we hope the next generation can grow up with security and an appreciation of their valuable cultural heritage.

We too live on a little farm and try to live sustainably so Warp & Weft is what we do when we are not in the garden or chasing animals out of it! We love it and hope you will too.
